Take A Fresh Look At Your Marriage:
A very special weekend together…

What is a Marriage Encounter?
Marriage Encounter is designed to give married couples the opportunity to examine their lives together. It is a time to share feelings, hopes, disappointments, joys and frustrations in an open, honest encounter with the one person they have chosen to be a part of their life.

The emphasis is on communication between husband and wife, who spend a weekend together away from the distractions and the tensions of everyday life to concentrate on each other. It is neither a retreat, nor a marriage clinic, nor group sensitivity training. It’s a unique approach aimed at revitalizing Christian Marriage.

Who is it for?
It is for any married couple desiring a richer, fuller life together. Marriage Encounter is designed to deepen and enrich the joys a couple shares, whether married for only a short time, or many years. The weekend is Catholic in orientation, but space is reserved for couples of other faiths, who are welcome to participate.

What happens at a Worldwide Marriage Encounter?
A series of presentations is given by a team of couples and a Catholic priest. Each presentation allows spouses a rare opportunity to look at themselves as individuals, then to look at their marriage and their relationship with one another, and finally to look at their relationship with God, the Church, and the world.

The weekend allows each couple to focus on each other, hardly aware of the other couples present. Presentations are given to the group as a whole, and then the husband and wife have time in the privacy of their own room for personal discussion.
