The Music Sub-commission
of the
Diocesan Liturgical Commission
The Music Sub-commission’s objective is to assist the Bishop of the Diocese of Columbus provide guidance for all pastoral musicians in the diocese in accord with the Church’s documents on music; to provide continuing education for those involved in music ministry; and to provide assistance with other duties or projects as specified by the Executive Board of the Diocesan Liturgy Commission.
The Music Sub-commission works with the Office of Liturgy in the preparation of various guides and handbooks which explain, promote, and can enhance the use of music in our liturgical celebrations. The following guides and handbooks are available or are under development:
