Capital Campaigns
Organizing and conducting a capital campaign is one service that the Office of Development and Planning offers parishes, schools and organizations of the Catholic Diocese of Columbus to raise a substantial amount of funds. The staff is well experienced and well informed of the best practices guided by the USCCB's Bishop's Pastoral Letter, Stewardship; A Disciple's Response.
A parish must first receive the blessing of Bishop Frederick F. Campbell in order to proceed forward with a major fundraising effort. Once Bishop Campbell has offered his blessing, the parish will work closely with the Office of Development and Planning and the Diocesan Finance Office to follow the phases of the captial campaign. Before entering into a capital campaign a parish must also conduct a feasibility study, again with the blessing of Bishop Campbell, in order to obtain pertinent information which will assist in the organization and planning of the campaign phases.
A director from the Office of Development and Planning will support and guide the pastor and parish leadership through every phase of the campaign. For more information, please contact Rick Jeric in the office at 614-241-2550 or email him at rjeric@colsdioc.org. |
